This post is by our guest blogger Solvita Bennett, creator and owner of www.positivecalm.com
Dear Friend,
We all have goals and it is important to have them. However at times we get overwhelmed with the BIG goals… So how can we still achieve them without breaking down and giving up too SOON?
Today I’ll share with you some simple tips, which will help you in achieving them with a smart and elegant approach.
One small action will lead to the next and so everything can unfold harmoniously….
People often think that J. K. Rowling, the millionaire author of the Harry Potter series made her fortune overnight. Not so: it took her five years to write the first book, and she was rejected by dozens of publishers before someone finally saw the potential of Harry Potter. Think how different things would have been if she’d given up too soon!
7 Simple TIPS to achieve your BIG Goals:
#1 Support your goals to drive you forwards
Review your BIG goal and write at least 20 reasons as to what it will give you, your family, humanity, when it’s achieved. It is important… I know you may think you don’t need 20 reasons … well the more you have the better, because your mind will have plenty of food to work on and make it happen. These 20 reasons will give you motivation. Revisit your reasons every single day, it will keep you going.
#2 Plan realistic
It may require 5 years to achieve rather than 1. (Sometimes it can be much sooner than you think, as long as you keep taking action.)
#3 Chunk it down
Chunk the BIG goal down into smaller ‘bite’ pieces otherwise you may feel overwhelmed and be tempted to give up. Chunk it down in 1 year, 6 months, 3 months, 1 month, a week, a day….
#4 Make a promise to yourself
Make it important and promise to yourself to achieve at least one objective towards your BIG plan a day. When you feel down, pick up those 20 reasons. Schedule at least one daily objective in your calendar as soon as possible.
#5 Stay flexible
It is important to stick to your plan, however there should be some flexibility as the world around us changes a lot; we have to be mindful and open to better opportunities. When we do that, it can work out even better than you thought when we adjust on the way. Keep focusing on your dream and your goals, but review and revise your plans on a regular basis.
#6 Enjoy the journey and have fun, plan some fun too
When you are in a good, light, playful mood every action you will take, will count and be fruitful. It doesn’t mean you are less responsible, it just means you are in alignment with the energy that creates worlds. It will give you leverage every time. It will remove obstacles on the way and people will find you, who will be there to help you on the way.
Resistance is what keeps us in one place. When we are doing something without enthusiasm, even the smallest thing, we have to work so much harder and the results may not be what we hoped for. Live it, breathe it, and be excited by it. Have enthusiasm in everything you do and you will see a BIG shift in the results of your work.
#7 Read inspirational and motivational books on mindset to stay positive and active
… Asking for help, guidance and encouragement isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s part of taking responsibility. Surround yourself with positive, enthusiastic and encouraging people. It is important to interact and support others. They will also support your dreams. How would you act if you knew your service, business, company is the BEST in the WORLD? Act from that place. Get into a good mood first and take action, take action, and take action no matter how small. Every little action COUNTS.
The biggest lie we tell ourselves is “I’ll do it later.” Now is the time, not later. Do it right NOW. ![]()
Let’s do this together.
